2-D Thematic Acrylic Painting Reflection, March 4, 2013
.1 The strong parts in my painting are the details in the face of the giraffe, because it makes it look realistic.
2. The background didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it, because it looks like it should go into a baby's room.
3. The theme in my painting is neutral african-safarri colors because I have always wanted to go to Africa.
4. The main colors in my painting are neutral browns and greens. These colors help to create the theme because Africa has a lot of light greens and tans in the wildlife.
5. I have shades of brown and black in the eyes and on parts of the giraffe, and I have tints of tan and green in the background and tints of tan on the giraffe.
6. I learned that if you don't mix enough paint, you may have to try to recreate that exact color if you run out. Recreating the same color over again is very challenging.
7. First I drew my design on the canvas, then I painted over the design. After I painted the design, I painted the background. On the otherhand, for the background I experimented and It was not planned.
8. I really like the acrylic painting on canvas, because it is really fun to go from a piece of cloth and a few sticks of wood to a beautiful painting.
