Meaningful Sculpture Reflection. May 9, 2013
1. I think the good part of my sculpture is that is a unique idea. I think that it is shaped well and that it is creative.
2.I could have put more detail in the globe, because the continents arent very porportional to eachother.
3. The theme of my sculpture is nature . The design I chose was the world and a tree trunk, because I love nature and I want to travel the world.
4. My project is representative, and I wanted it to look that way so they could tell what my sculpture was.
5. From the top it looks like a sphere, but from all the other sides it looks like a sphere on top of a cone shaped tree trunk.
6. Because i got behind, I had to finish my sculpture in a short amount of time. Even though I was rushed I still did a decent job. Sometimes if you get things done quickly, you can still do a good job.
7.The first step was making the shapes for my sculpture. Then I hollowed out the forms with a tool. After that I used a needle tool to create detail. I didnt really plan what I was doing, I just went along with whatever happened.
8. Yes, it was worthwhile, because it saved clay and it gave us freedom to make what we wanted. On the other hand, we had so much other things going on at the same time that it was easy to get behind.
