Dinnerware Set Reflection (4-C): April 12, 2013
1. I think my set is good because it is unique and I tried a new style
2. I could have done better with letting my clay dry slowly because there is a giant crack on my bowl.
3. My theme is wilderness/ earthy because I made my set look rugged and some pieces look like branches or sticks.
4. All the pieces in my set have branch or stick shaped parts on them to make the pieces look like a set.
5. I used assymetrical symmetry because it looks more natural and less precise.
6. No matter how long or hard you work on something, sometimes it dosn't turn out exactly the way you want it to.
7. During my design process- First I drew my prelimenary to make my set, then I wedged my clay, and I used the slab roller to make my bowl which took up a majority of my time.
8. I think this is a worthwhile project because I think that some people may actually use the pieces they make.
